Hoang Minh Ha: Embracing Nature's Beauty

Vietnamese designer Hoang Minh Ha is set to open the AVIFW Autumn/Winter 2022 with his remarkable collection, "Sương" (Fog). Inspired by the natural landscapes of northern Vietnam, Ha's ready-to-wear designs for women encapsulate the ethereal beauty of misty mornings and enchanting sceneries. Combining his expertise with sustainable materials, Ha presents a collection that not only celebrates fashion but also respects the environment.

Ha's talent has been recognized globally, having showcased his collections at prestigious events such as Tiffany's Fashion Week Paris and Vietnam International Fashion Week. His journey to success began when he emerged as the winner of Project Runway Vietnam 2013, the Vietnamese version of the popular American TV reality series. Since then, Ha has become a symbol of innovation and creativity in the Vietnamese fashion scene.

A Fusion of International and Vietnamese Designs

The AVIFW Fall/Winter 2022 is not just a platform for local designers. It also welcomes international designers to showcase their talent alongside Vietnamese fashion icons. This year, designers such as Fredrick Lee from Singapore, Priyo Oktaviano from Indonesia, Jovana Benoit from Haiti with her brand Jovana Louis, and the renowned Italian brand Paul & Shark, will grace the event with their extraordinary collections.

Collaborating with Vietnamese designers such as Duc Hung, Hoang Hai, Ha Linh Thu, and Adrian Anh Tuan, this fashion week bridges the gap between cultures and celebrates the diversity of design aesthetics. Additionally, young designers from the acclaimed Hanoi-based London College for Design & Fashion will seize the opportunity to unleash their creative vision at this esteemed event.

Hanoi: A Hub of Fashion and Culture

Le Thi Quynh Trang, President of the Vietnam International Fashion Week and Council of ASEAN Fashion Designers, reiterated the importance of promoting Vietnamese cultural identity on the international stage. Hanoi, being both the capital of the country and a cultural hub, takes center stage as the chosen location for this grand event.

As part of the efforts to bring attention to the AVIFW Fall/Winter 2022, the organizers have partnered with Meta Platforms Inc to launch a social media campaign on Instagram, Facebook, and Reels. This collaboration aims to showcase the Vietnamese fashion industry and its talented designers to millions of social network users worldwide.

The Power of Vietnamese Fashion

Since its inception in 2014, the Vietnam International Fashion Week has become a leading fashion event in ASEAN, ranking fourth in Asia after Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai fashion weeks. The AVIFW Fall/Winter 2022 promises to continue this legacy by promoting the best of Vietnamese fashion to the global audience.

In addition to the fashion shows, a captivating competition will be held at Trang Tien Plaza in Hoan Kiem District to discover the best street style looks. This event not only highlights the creativity of fashion enthusiasts but also brings fashion closer to the everyday lives of people.

The AVIFW Fall/Winter 2022 will take place from November 23rd to 27th at the Quan Ngua Sports Centre in Ba Dinh District, offering an exceptional experience for fashion enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the beauty of Vietnamese heritage and witness the convergence of talent from around the world.
