I am never happier than when the temperature finally drops and the colors of fall come alive every time you step outside. But even though the start of fall signals the beginning of the holiday season, the real joy of this time of year comes from all the fashion trends that start popping up to serve the transitional weather. Fall street style 2022 trends take over my Instagram feed and my shopping cart, and I think I’ve finally narrowed down the top three trends I’m seeing that I’m obsessing over.

Leather Bags that Look Like Leather Jackets

Have you ever seen a more beautiful and perfect bag? I have to say, unexpectedly, this Rebecca Minkoff bag makes the perfect overnight bag. You can literally stuff outfit changes in here and it still has room to spare. It's perfect for a day out in the city too and would make the ideal everyday work bag. I took it to the coffee shop, and my 13-inch Macbook fit perfectly inside.

With features like leather tassels and endless zip compartments, this bag gives off a Balenciaga Le Cargole bag vibe without the hefty price tag. And if you think it's too big, there's even a mini size available. It's like holding your favorite leather jacket on your arm while carrying all your essentials.

Cut-out Lightweight Pants

These slouchy cut-out pants are the perfect transition piece for fall. It's easy to find cut-out pants online, but many of them are skin-tight, which doesn't really match the casual look that I'm going for these days.

The pair I'm wearing here is Alo's mid-rise showdown pant, although they're currently sold out. But don't worry, there are similar styles available online. What I love about Alo's pants is the material. They're not clingy like leggings, so I feel more comfortable with the cutouts. The material is more like a windbreaker, loose without being too baggy. I found a similar style that's on sale and in stock at Dolls Kill below.

Cropped Fitted Sweatshirts

This, by far, has to be my favorite trend. I'm a crop top girl through and through, and I love the fitted look of this half-zip pullover from Aerie. It's the perfect stone wash grey color, and what sets it apart is the "corset" bottom. It's like an elastic waistband that gives the casual sweatshirt a more put-together feel. And let's not forget the thumb holes, which add an extra cozy touch. Aerie never misses. You can grab this in a few different colors too. Of course, I'm also wearing the Aerie super flare leggings here. They're basically like a second skin at this point.

So there you have it, my top three fall fashion trends that I'm currently obsessing over. Leather bags that resemble leather jackets, cut-out lightweight pants for the perfect fall transition, and cropped fitted sweatshirts for that trendy yet comfortable look. Embrace these trends and have the most stylish fall season yet!
