As a self-proclaimed beauty product junkie, mascara is my most beloved and frequently used item. Over the years, I've experimented with countless tubes that promised to lengthen and volumize my lashes, only to be let down by their lackluster performance.

Recently, I decided to put two popular mascaras to the test: Prime Prometics Primelash mascara and Thrive Liquid Lash Extensions mascara. Both these products managed to meet my expectations, but one clearly outshone the other.

If you seek nourishment for your lashes... PrimeLash

As we age, our lashes tend to become thinner, making it essential to treat them with care. What intrigued me most about Prime Prometics' PrimeLash was its nourishing ingredients. Specifically formulated for women over 50, this mascara contains essential vitamins, bioactive nutrients, and is pH balanced to promote longer, thicker, stronger, and more hydrated lashes with regular use.

In contrast, Thrive's Liquid Lash Extensions mascara utilizes a different technology called tubing, coating each lash with a "tube" of product. While it also claims to enhance lash health with its Orchid Stem Cell Complex, I found that PrimeLash delivered a more light and feathery look, as opposed to the heavy and dense appearance produced by the Thrive product. Additionally, being over 50, I appreciated PrimeLash's formulation designed specifically for women like me and our specific needs.

If you desire a more even coating with an elongated wand... PrimeLash

When I open a new mascara tube, the wand is the first thing I examine. I want to ensure that the right amount of product is evenly distributed on the wand, allowing for a flawless application without clumping. Both Prime Prometics PrimeLash and Thrive's mascara boast wands made of my favorite silicone material, tapered towards the tip. However, PrimeLash's wand is slightly longer, with longer bristles. This allows for easier maneuverability between my lashes, ensuring even product distribution. It also makes it a breeze to coat my shorter lashes. For these reasons, PrimeLash emerges as the clear winner in this comparison.

If you're in search of affordable, clean alternatives... It's a tie

Both Prime Prometics and Thrive offer similarly priced mascaras crafted from clean beauty formulas, featuring pure and safe ingredients. These vegan, cruelty-free, sulfate-free, and paraben-free mascaras are devoid of any synthetic fragrances, which is always a major plus. While PrimeLash is slightly more expensive at $28 compared to Thrive's Liquid Lash Extensions at $25, I found the more natural-looking lift provided by PrimeLash to be my preference. Since I'm more likely to reach for PrimeLash for everyday wear, I declare this a tie between the two.

If you prefer less clumping and easy-to-remove mascara... PrimeLash

In terms of performance, PrimeLash emerged as the winner in multiple aspects. It was easier to apply, stayed on all day without smudging, and was effortlessly removed in the evening. I appreciated the fact that I could apply multiple coats of PrimeLash without ending up with clumpy lashes. On the other hand, Thrive's mascara tended to clump, requiring extra effort to separate my lashes. Due to its thicker formula, the Thrive mascara also resulted in some flaking throughout the day, while PrimeLash stayed perfectly in place. When it came to removal, PrimeLash washed away effortlessly, while the Thrive brand required a bit more work to remove the "tubes" from my lashes.

The Ultimate Winner... PrimeLash

The clear champion in this mascara showdown is none other than Prime Prometics' PrimeLash mascara. It exceeded all my expectations and more. My lashes appear long and luscious, garnering compliments on a daily basis. I adore how PrimeLash remains intact all day, as I'm not one to engage in makeup touch-ups. From now on, PrimeLash will be my go-to mascara, banishing any remnants of dry, brittle, and sparse lashes from my life!

Remember, finding the perfect mascara is an intensely personal journey. However, if you're seeking nourishment, even application, affordability, and an easy removal process, PrimeLash is an excellent choice. Give it a try and prepare to fall in love with your lashes all over again.
