It’s been a long road to the launch of Rhode, Hailey Bieber’s new skincare line. The style star’s journey into the cosmetics space began in 2019 when she filed to trademark Bieber beauty , only to have her application rejected because her husband, Justin Bieber, already owned the mark. Undeterred, Hailey decided to move forward with her middle name, Rhode. Over the next few years, she immersed herself in the world of skincare, consulting industry experts to perfect her brand's formulas.

And now, as of June 15, Bieber’s products are finally available to shop. The Rhode launch includes three curated skincare essentials, all priced under $30: Peptide Glazing Fluid, Barrier Restore Cream, and Peptide Lip Treatment, available in various scents [^1^].

But the question remains: Will these products give you Bieber’s signature dewy “glazed donut” complexion? To find out, I put all three products to the test for a full week. Here’s what I discovered [^2^].

Peptide Glazing Fluid ($29)

Billed as Bieber's "signature step to dewy, glazed skin," this lightweight serum-gel contains peptides as its star ingredient. Peptides can boost collagen and elastin production, reducing the look of fine lines and plumping the skin. The product also includes niacinamide for brightening, hyaluronic acid for hydration, and marula oil to support the skin barrier.

At first glance, the texture surprised me. It looks more like a light lotion than a serum, but it spreads nicely and melts into the skin. Although the directions recommend applying one or two pumps to freshly cleansed skin, I found that I needed three or four to achieve a glazed glow like Bieber’s. The product layered well beneath my sunscreen and makeup, and while I didn't see any major moisturizing benefits, my skin looked dewier post-application [^3^].

Barrier Restore Cream ($29)

Made with moisture-boosting shea butter, squalane, peptides, and niacinamide, the Barrier Restore Cream is a rich hydrator. It can be layered on top of the Peptide Glazing Fluid or used solo. I loved its buttery texture, which didn't leave my face greasy. It kept my skin dewy and moisturized all day and night, unlike other creams that absorb quickly. While it may not be rich enough for freezing, dry winters, it's perfect for the rest of the year. Those with oily skin might prefer to use it only at night due to its intense hydration properties [^4^].

Rhode Barrier Restore Cream

Peptide Lip Treatment ($16)

My favorite of Rhode’s launch products, this nourishing salve features a blend of shea butter, peptides, and moisturizing cupuaçu and babassu. Available in three versions, including an unscented option, the lip treatment delivers on its promise to hydrate your lips. Unlike the waxy balms of the past, it goes on super shiny without feeling sticky. I used it as an overnight treatment and woke up with smooth, pillowy-soft lips. It's a must-try for anyone in need of lip hydration [^5^].

Should You Try Rhode?

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed testing these products, and I must admit that I'm not a 25-year-old supermodel with perfect skin. Rhode’s first few offerings are simple and no-frills, but they're solid basics well-suited for most skin types. While they may not magically erase wrinkles or clear acne, they provided my skin with a dewier and more hydrated appearance. So, if you're looking for affordable skincare essentials that deliver results, give Rhode a try [^6^].
