Amazing makeup doesn't need to come at a high price. E.L.F. Cosmetics proves that notion to us all the time with its consistent A+ products. Last week, the affordable cosmetic brand launched the Halo Glow Beauty Wands ($9), which appear to be dupes of the cult-favorite Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands ($42). As Reviewed's beauty editor, I received a set of three wands—contour, blush, and highlight—to put to the test.

What Sets E.L.F. Halo Glow Beauty Wands Apart

I own the contour wand in the shade "Fair Light," the blush in "Rosé You Slay," and the highlighter in "Champagne Campaign." What I love about these wands is their versatility. The contour wand allows me to effortlessly define and sculpt my face. The liquid formula blends smoothly with a makeup brush, and the cool-toned shade gives a natural-looking effect. Unlike the Charlotte Tilbury wands, E.L.F. offers a range of five shades, making it easier to find one that suits your skin tone.

The blush wand is equally impressive. The shimmery pink shade, "Rosé You Slay," resembles the beloved "Pinkgasm" shade from the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand. It provides a luminous and subtle flush that lasts throughout the day. E.L.F.'s blush wand also comes in three other shimmery tones.

Adding a touch of radiance to my skin is effortless with E.L.F.'s highlight wand in the shade "Champagne Campaign." This liquid highlighter enhances my cheekbones and other high points of my face without appearing glittery. Layered on top of the blush, it creates a beautifully sculpted and luminous look with minimal effort.

The Only Downside

My only gripe with the E.L.F. wands is their packaging. While they have a similar squeeze mechanism to the Charlotte Tilbury wands, the latter come with a twist-to-lock feature that prevents any leakage. I appreciate that attention to detail in the packaging, and I wish E.L.F. had incorporated it as well to avoid potential messes.

E.L.F. Halo Glow Beauty Wands vs. Charlotte Tilbury

Although the E.L.F. Halo Glow Beauty Wands and the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands have slight differences, their results on my face are remarkably similar. If you've been longing to try the Charlotte Tilbury ones but want a more budget-friendly option, I wholeheartedly recommend giving the E.L.F. wands a try. They offer a great opportunity to experiment with liquid contour, blush, and highlight. However, be sure to act fast as these wands are already flying off the shelves.
