Indianapolis is gearing up for a weekend filled with exciting events that are perfect for the whole family to enjoy. From interactive exhibits to breakfast with mascots, there's something for everyone. Here are some kid-friendly activities happening during the NBA All-Star Weekend:

NBA Crossover 2024

NBA Crossover 2024

  • When: Feb 16-18
  • Where: Indiana Convention Center, 100 S. Capitol Ave.
  • Tickets: $20 for kids, $35 for adults (children 2 years old and under are free)

NBA Crossover 2024 is the primary fan event of the All-Star weekend. It offers basketball courts for kids to shoot some hoops, more than 50 NBA player and legend appearances, live music, selfie spots, and art installations. It's an immersive experience that every basketball fan will enjoy.

NBA Mascot Breakfast

  • When: 8 a.m. on Feb 17
  • Where: Crossover
  • Tickets: $159

Join Benny the Bull, Buster Bear, Rumble the Bison, and other NBA team mascots for a themed breakfast. It's a unique opportunity for kids to have breakfast with their favorite mascots. Please note that the ticket price does not include access to any of the All-Star Weekend games.

NBA 2K League Alley

  • When: Noon-8 p.m. on Feb 16-17
  • Where: Wabash Room, Indiana Convention Center
  • Admission: Free and open to the public

For the video game enthusiasts, "NBA 2K League Alley" is the place to be. This interactive event allows fans to play the popular "NBA 2K" game, meet special guests, enjoy delicious food, and purchase customized merchandise. You can even challenge Ronnie 2K, the face of the franchise, and professional "NBA 2K" players. On Feb 17, the Wabash Room will host the NBA 2K League Indy Showdown, featuring Indiana Pacers guard and all-star Tyrese Haliburton and content creators Dom2K and Pikaaa.

Jr. NBA Skills Challenge

  • When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb 18
  • Where: Courts 4-8, Indiana Convention Center
  • Spectators: Welcome, Registration is closed

Young basketball enthusiasts had the opportunity to participate in the Jr. NBA Skills Challenge. This skills challenge tested kids' shooting, lay-up, dribbling, passing, and defense abilities. Although registration is closed, spectators are welcome to cheer on the participants.

Jr. NBA STEM Clinic

  • When: 10 a.m.-noon on Feb 18
  • Where: Courts 1-3, Indiana Convention Center
  • Spectators: Welcome, Registration is closed

The Jr. NBA and 4th Family will host a STEM Clinic that combines sports with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Kids aged 6-14 will participate in various activities centered around the scientific method, data collection, and data visualization. Although registration is closed, spectators are encouraged to attend and witness the excitement.

Butter Fine Art Fair

  • When: Open all weekend
  • Where: Indianapolis Artsgarden, 110 W. Washington St.
  • Admission: Free

Discover the artistic side of All-Star weekend at the Butter Fine Art Fair. This pop-up expansion showcases the works of more than 30 Black artists. You can also explore the cultural corridor along Washington Street, which includes various businesses. The event is free and open to the public, making it a perfect stop for the entire family.

Google Pixel at Crossover

  • When: Open all weekend
  • Where: Crossover, Indiana Convention Center
  • Admission: Free with Crossover admission

Google will be present at Crossover, offering an interactive exhibit to showcase their phone, the Pixel. Visitors can take faux NBA draft photos, test out the phone, and participate in basketball-meets-technology events. It's a great opportunity to experience the latest technology while enjoying the NBA All-Star festivities.

Through2Eyes All-Star Walk & Talk

  • When: 1-5 p.m. on Feb 16-18
  • Where: Plaid & Pearls, 6 W. Washington St.
  • Admission: Free with online registration

Join local history expert Sampson Levingston for basketball-themed walking tours through downtown Indianapolis. These tours, designed with children in mind, will take you on an exciting journey through the city's basketball history. Don't miss this chance to learn while having fun.
