The Aquafina Việt Nam International Fashion Week (AVIFW) Spring-Summer 2022, set to take place in HCM City from May 25-29, promises to be a celebration and promotion of sustainable fashion in the country. With the theme "ReFashion," the event aims to drive sustainability in Việt Nam's fashion industry.

The AVIFW 2022 will collaborate with Faslink, a leading company focused on sustainable fashion, along with Vietnamese designers, to showcase designs made from natural and recycled materials such as lotus stems and leaves, coffee grounds, peppermint, seashells, coconut fibers, and recycled plastic.

Renowned designer Võ Công Khanh will kick off the fashion week with his latest collection, titled "H2O." Born in the Mekong Delta, Khanh gained recognition after winning the Vietnam Collection Grand Prix in 2002. Throughout his career, he has showcased his creations at various prestigious events, including the Việt Nam Fashion Week, Elle Fashion Show, and Huế Festival.

Collaborating with Faslink, Khanh previously introduced a collection made from coffee-derived fibers, emphasizing the message of sustainable development and an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Trần Hoàng Phú Xuân, General Director of Faslink, expressed how sustainable fashion has become a significant trend in Việt Nam, with the consumption of eco-friendly materials increasing three to five times in the last three years.

The AVIFW 2022 will feature new collections from 17 nationally and internationally renowned designers and brands. Among them are Hoàng Hải, Adrian Tuấn Anh, Lê Long Dũng, Nguyễn Tiến Truyển, as well as Italian brand Camicissima and Australian brand Zimmermann. The catwalk will showcase top models like Thanh Hằng and Vũ Thu Phương from leading fashion and modeling agencies.

To commemorate the AVIFW 2022, TikTok Vietnam is hosting "The Best Street Style Online" contest on its platform until May 20.

Since its establishment in 2014, the Việt Nam International Fashion Week has rapidly become a leading fashion event in Southeast Asia, ranking fourth in Asia after Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai.
